Power Lifting Competition | Important Details

If you are interested in competing in Power lifting you’ll want to decide which federation you would like to compete in and review their rule book. It will cover the accepted execution of each lift as well as what you are permitted to wear while competing.

Have a plan for each attempt as well as contingent plans if the meet is going better or worse than planned.

Missing a lift isn’t a huge deal, take it as a learn if opportunity and ask the judge or judges that gave you. Don’t contest a call, judges cannot review video. Even if you know it was a bad call, take it with grace and roll with the punches.

After your attempt you or your coach head straight to judges table to give your next attempt. If you fail to submit a lift on a successful attempt they will automatically increase the weight or if you’re unsuccessful they will keep the weight the same for your next attempt
